Resolution to the Incorporation of Antigua and Barbuda to ALBA
The Heads of State and Government that form part of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas, gathered in the city of Maracay, Aragua Estate, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, during the Sixth Extraordinary Summit of ALBA-TCP, on the occasion of the 188th Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo,
Recognized the strengthening of the ALBA-TCP and its consolidation as a political, economic and social alliance in defense of the independence, sovereignty, self-determination and identity of the countries that constitute it, and a representative of the interests and aspirations of the peoples of the South who face attempts of political and economic domination.
They celebrated the incorporation of Antigua and Barbuda to an alternative that promotes complementarity instead of competition, solidarity instead of domination, cooperation that replaces exploitation, and respect for the sovereignty of our peoples. They highlighted the strategic importance of this new adhesion, and stressed the key contribution that this dignified Caribbean nation will make to the project of transnational union between the peoples of our America.
They agreed to the incorporation of Antigua and Barbuda as a full member of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of America.
